How are payments made, and when are they made?
With our contracts, we detail payments as work is completed. Financially, we walk you through the stages of completed work and pass inspections if required, giving you control of the project with minimal risk. Our payments as the work progresses provide you with peace of mind and lock in your investment at every stage. We don’t do one section and jump to another to get a check. Our system ensures you stay on budget and your project is organized cohesively by building.
How many of your customers come from repeat business or referrals from existing or previous customers?

What do you think about permits?
We obtain permits, drawings, and insurance certificates and meet with inspectors when necessary. You will receive the green (passed) tags for your records at every step.
Does Barrington One Construction have Insurance?
Yes, Insurance is necessary to protect your remodeling project and home. Barrington One Construction, L.L.C. has a $1 million insurance policy for your protection. We can increase the coverage depending on the home improvement project.
What should I be asking my contractor?
Knowing how much experience they offer is essential when looking at various contractors. Referrals should be available. Insurance must be sufficient to cover the project and your entire home. Ask if your workers specialize in their trades. A good relationship with your contractor is essential, but could you make sure they listen to your input? Could you make sure you talk to the person responsible for your remodel, not just a salesperson who has no idea what to look for or how to answer detailed questions?
What about materials?
The materials we use are stipulated in the estimate. We do not cut corners or install inferior products to save money. While there are many ways to fit a budget with finishing surfaces, the materials under them and the parts you do not see are the most important to ensure the longevity and integrity of the remodeling project. The price difference is usually only a few hundred dollars to do the job right.
What is a change order?
A change order is a written statement signed by the customer authorizing the contractor to do additional work not included in the original contract. The change order should be signed before the extra work begins, but in some cases, it is not required to keep the project moving. So that you know, the amount specified is due upon completion of the project.
A change order may also be written when a contractor encounters unforeseen damage or problems. We do not like change orders, so you will not likely see one unless you do extra work or upgrade materials.
What kind of warranty do you carry?
We stand behind our work and will follow up on manufacturers’ warranties if needed. The organization is why it’s so important to have one company handle all the paperwork and receipts. Then, if something does come up, please don’t hesitate to call us. We take on everything without you having to locate multiple contractors.
