A Southlake deck is an excellent addition to any home. It gives you a dedicated space to enjoy the outdoors and creates a place to entertain guests. Nothing beats spending an evening outside on your deck, barbecuing and socializing with friends and neighbors. At Barrington One Construction, LLC, we craft high-quality decks for homeowners, allowing them to get the most out of their property.
Building History Southlake
In the early 1990s when Southlake began developing master-planned neighborhoods, the minimum lot size was 1-acre (4,000 m2). Later the City of Southlake reduced the minimum lot size to 1/2 acre, and later 1/3 of an acre.
These master-planned upscale neighborhoods began emerging all over the western portion of Southlake Boulevard. Some of the larger upscale neighborhoods developed in the 1990s along Southlake Boulevard include The Hills of Monticello, Monticello Estates, Stoneridge Lakes, Myers Meadow, Stone Lakes, Timber Lake, Southridge Lakes and Timarron, which includes the Timarron Country Club.
In the 2000s, when the earlier neighborhoods were finishing up, Southlake began developing portions of its picturesque countryside into luxury neighborhoods. Some of the newer luxury neighborhoods include Clariden Ranch, Estes Park, Stratford Park, Cambridge Place, Shady Oaks, Westwick Hills, The Enclave, Laurelwood Park, Villas Del Sol, Palomar Estates, The Reserve of Southlake, Coventry Manor, Autumn Creek Estates, and Versailles.
We love to serve Southlake as one of our Fort Worth surrounding service partners!
Quality Deck Materials
A Barrington One Construction, LLC deck is built to last. We use only high-quality materials and carefully assemble everything to give you the deck you’ve been waiting for. With a well-made deck, you can enjoy your property to the fullest while significantly boosting its value.
As an experienced deck company, we can suggest which material makes sense for your deck. We can guarantee an option that works for you by offering a wide selection of materials. Here is just a sample of what we have available:
Pressure-treated wood
Pressure-treated wood has been used for deck boards. Still, due to its problems with warping due to the wetness from the chemicals and the nature of the pinewood, we only use it for the structure as it is the best wood to use because of its strength and ability to be applied near the ground. If you want to deck with pressure-treated, we recommend contacting a local lumber supply house and getting their advice before proceeding with this material.
Composite materials
Composite decking is an alternative to wood made from recycled wood and plastics. It is very durable; the only maintenance is an occasional wash with soap and water. Composites do not rot or attract pests. As with woods that fade in the Texas weather, composite decking only turns slightly lighter the first few months. It is available in different textures, colors, and warranties.
Cedar
You can’t go wrong with cedar if you want natural wood for your deck. This wood is naturally moisture- and pest-resistant to stand the test of time. There is a bit more upkeep involved with cedar, but its elegance more than makes up for it. The surface is cooler than other materials and can be sanded and re-stained if gouged.
